One of the biggest worries I hear from families before their session is, “What if my kids don’t cooperate?”
If that’s something you’ve been thinking about, I want you to know you’re not alone. The truth is, children don’t need to sit perfectly still or smile at the camera the entire time for us to create beautiful photographs. In fact, some of my favorite images come from the moments parents never planned for.
My goal is never to force perfection. It’s to create a space where your family can simply be together.
Here are a few simple ways to help your session feel relaxed, enjoyable, and full of genuine moments.

The most meaningful photographs rarely happen when everyone is looking at the camera. They happen during the giggles, the cuddles, the snack breaks, and the little moments in between.
If your toddler wants to run, we’ll let them run. If your baby needs to be held a little longer, we’ll slow down. The beauty of your family isn’t found in perfection. It’s found in your connection.
One of the easiest ways to start your session feeling relaxed is to give yourself a little extra time before you arrive. Rushing out the door often creates unnecessary stress for both parents and little ones.
A few extra minutes to breathe, settle in, and enjoy the start of your session can make all the difference.

Children are naturally curious, playful, and full of personality. Rather than asking them to sit still for an hour, I gently guide them through games, movement, and moments that feel natural for their age.
Some of the sweetest photographs happen when children are simply exploring, laughing, or reaching for your hand.
Those are the moments you’ll treasure most.
Instead of wondering where to look or whether everyone is smiling, focus on your family.
Hold your little one close.
Whisper something silly.
Tickle your kids.
Give your partner a hug.
When you’re interacting with each other instead of the camera, your photographs become filled with genuine emotion and the kind of connection that never goes out of style.

You don’t have to know how to pose or worry about what comes next. That’s what I’m here for.
Throughout your session, I’ll gently guide you while leaving plenty of room for spontaneous moments to unfold naturally. My goal is for your experience to feel calm, enjoyable, and effortless so you can simply be present with the people you love most.
Years from now, you probably won’t remember whether your toddler sat still for every photograph or whether the wind blew your hair around.
You’ll remember the laughter.
The tiny arms wrapped around your neck.
The way your family felt in this season of life.
Those are the moments I hope you’ll carry with you long after the session is over, and they’re the reason I believe the best photographs are never about perfection. They’re about preserving the love, connection, and joy that’s already there.
These seasons of life pass more quickly than we realize. Whether you're welcoming a new baby, chasing little feet, or simply soaking in the beauty of everyday moments, this experience is designed to preserve what matters most with honesty, care, and intention.
